Eight years after his disappearance, Mr. Ishioka's parents received a letter from Poland that said Mr. Ishioka was living in Pyongyang with Ms. Keiko Arimoto and Mr. Kaoru Matsuki. The letter was sent by a Polish man Mr. Ishioka met in Pyongyang.
Photos that Mr. Ishioka took in Barcelona, just before he disappeared, show him with Ms. Sakiko Wakabayashi and Ms. Yoriko Mori, wives of two members responsible for the hijacking of Yodo-go Japan Airlines 351.
Mr. Ishioka married Ms. Keiko Arimoto in North Korea and they have a daughter. North Korea claims he 'died' in a gas accident.
