North Korea states that Mr. Ichikawa and Ms. Rumiko Masumoto were married in July 1979, but testimonies from other abductees show that Ms. Rumiko Masumoto lived with another abductee from 1978 to October 1979. North Korea claims that each of the couple died of a heart attack.
